Description
Offered for sale is a vintage .950 silver lighter, probably made in Japan circa 1950s (Korean War era). This lighter is similar in style to a much more famous lighter whose name I cannot mention here (Let’s call it Brand Z). The lighter features a hand-engraved map of Korea on the front, and a hand engraved United Nations logo on the back along with a person’s name very lightly engraved underneath the UN logo. This lighter quite possibly belonged to a member of the UN peacekeeping forces that were deployed to South Korea during and after the Korean War. The lighter is signed “Silver 950” on the bottom and is in good condition overall, showing signs of normal pocket carry including some minor dents and dings. The lighter hinge wobbles slightly and needs to be tightened. Needs only flint and fluid to work. This is a great crossover collectible of interest to both lighter collectors and military buffs. You can own this great vintage silver lighter, for $129.99. |
