Offered for sale is a vintage full-size Zippo lighter in a brushed chrome finish, ca. 1969 ( III zippo II ). This lighter features advertising for The Burlington Northern Railroad. Burlington Northern Railroad came about in 1970 when the company was able to merge the four major independent railroads; The Great Northern Railway, the Northern Pacific Railway, the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway and finally the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. Since its creation, the Burlington Northern Railway has continued to accumulate other independent railways and now has railway access throughout the United States. Included with the lighter is its original box. Needs only flint and fluid to work. This lighter is a great crossover collectable of interest to both lighter collectors and railroad buffs. You can own this great vintage Zippo lighter for $179.99.
