Offered for sale is an antique Waltham (USA) Colonial Riverside open faced pocket watch, circa 1924. This is a 12-size watch, and measures approximately 1-3/4″ (44mm) diameter. This watch features a solid 14k white gold case with a masonic symbol on the caseback. The watch also features a 21-jewel stem-wind stem-set Colonial Riverside grade movement, and a silver matte dial with gold numerals and a secometer seconds indicator above the 6 o’clock position. The entire watch weighs 55.4 grams (1.78 troy ounces). The case is in excellent condition, showing very little evidence of pocket carry. There is a personal engraving of “Presented to H.E. McDonald, Oakland City Lodge, 373 F&A.M. 1929” on the inside of the caseback. The movement is in excellent running order. The dial is in very good condition, showing a patina appropriate for its age. Included with the watch are its original inner and outer boxes. Overall, a very presentable watch that is ready to carry with pride or present as a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces. If you are in the market for a fine gold American pocket watch, they do not come much cleaner than this one.
